Sal's Friday Night Pizza
- TJ's whole wheat tandoori naan (bag of 6)
WW point= 4 for 1, 9.5 points for 2
- TJ's organic marinara sauce
WW point per serving size: 1/2 cup = 1 pt.
- 2% reduced fat shredded Mexican cheese
WW point per serving size: 1/4 cup = 2 pts
- Veggies of your choosing- mushrooms, onion, broccoli, zucchini, etc.
WW point= 0
- Meat of your choosing if you'd like to add more protein- ground turkey meat, shrimp, spicy sausage, etc. Lower point choices are all veggies or shrimp but overall the bread won't hold more than an ounce or two of meat so you really can't go wrong!
- Pam cooking spray
Preheat your oven to 400 (this is what works for my oven). Line a baking sheet with foil and place the quantity of bread your plan on using. Spray EACH side with Pam spray generously. The "right side" of the bread is the side that dips inward so leave that side up so it can hold your toppings better. Put about 1/4 cup of sauce on each slice (WW points: 0). Set this all aside.
In a pan cook your veggies and meat, seasoning as desired. If you're a loyal WW follower then cook the veggies in a different pan than the meat so you can account properly for the ounces you add to your pizza.
Pour the veggies onto each naan (I load mine with veggies because they are more filling and zero points) and then top with your meat choice. Measure out 1/3 cup of cheese and carefully pour it onto the top of your pizza.
Place the baking sheet in the oven for 15 minutes or until the crust has become really crusty like real pizza!
Weight Watcher points before meat: 5 points
